Automatic 2-month extension. You are allowed an automatic 2-month extension to file your return and pay federal income tax if you are a U.S. citizen or resident alien, and on the regular due date of your return:

You are living outside the United States and Puerto Rico and your main place of business or post of duty is outside the United States and Puerto Rico, or

You are in military or naval service on duty outside the United States and Puerto Rico.

If you use a calendar year, the regular due date of your return is April 15. Even if you are allowed an extension, you will have to pay interest on any tax not paid by the regular due date of your return.

A regular patrol of the Mexican Army in Rosarito Beach, Baja California, discovered and arrested yesterday a group of men carrying fake Police IDs.

The arrest happened last night around 7PM, when an Army truck stopped a Toyota Sienna minivan in the area of the “Appel curve” on Benito Juarez Blvd, in the center of town. Several men were aboard the minivan, and upon being stopped, their leader identified himself as an officer of the Ministerial Police.

But the soldiers made all pertinent calls to make sure this man was who he said he was, and found out that his ID was fake. Apparently his companions were also carrying fake police IDs. The soldiers then proceeded to arrest the man and all his companions, all of which are from Sinaloa.

Inside the minivan, the soldiers found $2,000 USD but no weapons or drugs were found.

The current winter season has brought one of the lowest temperatures ever reported in Baja California, mostly the Tijuana area, which is at this time partially covered in snow.

In the areas of La Rumorosa and El Hongo, the roads are covered in 7 and 5 inches of snow respectively, and the toll road is currently closed due to unsafe driving conditions. Only the free road is accessible at this point, and some small villages are completely inaccessible due to the snowfall.

Temperatures are expected to continue to drop, going under the freezing point (32 F or 0 C). Baja California’s Civil Protection department is advising residents to stay indoors.
