A robber was injured Thursday night when a group of thieves and municipal police officers had a violent encounter inside an Oxxo store in Tijuana.
Around 9:53PM the Oxxo store in the Villa Fontana fraccionamiento was assaulted by an armed man who threatened the cashier with a hand gun. Upon police forces arriving to the store the thief refused to put his gun down and opened fire against the officers. After several shots were exchanged the man was shot in the leg, which prompted him to giving up.
30 year-old Leonjino Ulloa Marin was taken to the hospital and two other males who also took part in the assault and were carrying weapons, were arrested. No officers were injured. Good job, officers!
